Wesbuilt were selected to build the New York City flagship store for renowned Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Located in the historic West Village, the 5,800-square-foot space is situated in the Archive building, a striking Romanesque Revival Building listed on the National Register of Landmarked Buildings. Designed by Luay Bahoora Architects, every corner of this expansive store follows Sabyasachi’s signature exploration of maximalist interior design, transporting the customer into the colorful world of the fashion designer while expressing the brands connection to Indian art, heritage, and craft. Each space comprises of varied textural, spatial, material, and lighting qualities, all unified by finely crafted oak archways and millwork, stained concrete flooring and custom designed wallpaper.
