NYPD Bomb Squad HQ

Wesbuilt successfully completed the transformation of the NYPD’s Bomb Squad Headquarters in Chelsea. The project involved the adaptive reuse of a six-story parking garage into a modern, secure operational facility for one of the NYPD’s most critical units. Scope included a full interior renovation, exterior refurbishments, careful preservation of the building’s historic architectural features, the integration of dedicated K9 dog run and kennels, and a specialized robotics training facility to support the unit’s advanced tactical capabilities. Critical infrastructure upgrades — including an emergency backup generator — ensure the facility maintains uninterrupted operational readiness around the clock.
